Warrenville, IL –
Catavo and Akoura announced today their
formation of a strategic relationship to
greatly increase the level of security available
to human capital management (HCM) initiatives.
Their goal is to provide end-to-end security
for every phase of learning content dissemination,
from content creation, through content delivery
and user credentials verification.
“Through the tremendous advances
in e-Learning and HCM, dynamic gains in
productivity are being realized by companies
of every size in every type of industry,”
said Peter Altieri, CEO of Catavo Corporation.
“More and more organizations are
creating more and more content delivered
through an ASP model. Looking forward,
the problem we saw was securing sensitive
content, such as strategic documents or
tactical plans, and protecting it from
misuse. We turned to Akoura as a result.”
Akoura plans to implement measures such
as data encryption and biometric verification
to ensure that HCM deliverables created
by Catavo are protected. Billa Bhandari,
Founder and CEO of Akoura, feels this
will be a highly beneficial relationship
for all involved: “Catavo is helping
its clients see dramatic results from
their human capital management investment.
Our purpose at Akoura is to help protect
that investment by securing all knowledge
being shared through HCM, not only with
traditional security measures, but also
by protecting information at its source.
All participants in the HCM process, including
subject matter experts and learning administrators,
as well as end users, must be authenticated
to prevent information from falling into
the wrong hands.”
Peter feels that putting Catavo and Akoura
together will produce solid results. “By
working with Akoura, we can deliver a
complete solution to our clients,”
said Peter. “With Akoura protecting
our client’s most critical data
assets, we can focus our attention on
using those assets to create e-Learning
and other HCM programs that maximize our
client’s potential.”
