Management Team

Billa Bhandari (Founder, CEO) has fifteen years experience building business oriented, secure, scaleable and mission-critical trading systems in the banking industry, including Chase, Credit Lyonnais, Putnam Investment and State Street Bank. Before Akoura, Billa founded Parallax Corporation to provide technology-consulting services to clients including GTE, Sun and HP. Billa’s background in Finance and Technology exploited the need for user oriented yet highly secure information solutions. Billa has strong recognition in the International Biometrics community and serves on the Technology Board of ID World, and Advisory Board of My Data Vault. Billa has appeared on many industry panels focused on deployment of Biometrics in the Enterprise and brings vision and business development skills to Akoura.

Christian Klacko (VP Marketing & Business Development) has fifteen years of international business experience. He comes to Akoura with proven expertise in establishing strategic alliances, developing and executing emerging market programs, and successfully managing business operations worldwide. Prior to joining Akoura, Christian helped launch two early stage companies in the cyber-security and public safety fields. Previously, Christian was Director of International Business Development at Akamai Technologies where he helped develop operations in Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America. Christian was also on the founding team of Nextel International. He holds an MS from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, an MBA from The George Washington University and a BS from the University of Scranton.
