JOHN
WATKINS, JR. (Chairman
of the Board of Directors) has
more than 30 years of combined
experience in Information Technology
management and operations in
both government and industry.
Since joining Fairchild as Executive
Vice President and Chief Information
Officer, Mr. Watkins has presided
over the successful implementation
of PeopleSoft ERP systems for
financials, distribution and
manufacturing, i2 planning systems
for manufacturing, and PeopleSoft
customer relationship management
systems. He was also responsible
for Fairchild’s E-Business
practice, where he successfully
implemented E-sales, Order Management,
web-based design tools, a customer
sample application, and a corporate
pricing engine.
Mr. Watkins received the 2004
and 2005 Top 50 Engineering
Award, 2005 Who's Who Top Executives
Award and the CTO of the Year
award from CTO Magazine in 2004.
A retired General Officer of
the U.S. Army, his last assignment
at the Department of Defense
was to form and lead the Defense
System Organization, responsible
for managing the world-wide
DOD data and communications
systems. Mr. Watkins entered
the private sector in 1995,
becoming Chief Information Officer
of the $12 billion Pratt &
Whitney division of United Technologies
Corporation. Under John globalization
of the IT department significantly
improved support on a world-wide
basis while simultaneously reducing
cost each year.
Mr. Watkins holds a B.S. in
Engineering Technology from
Tuskegee University, and an
M.B.A. from New York Institute
of Technology. John was selected
to attend the Senior Management
Program in Government at Harvard
University, and the Senior Engineering
Management Program at Stanford
University.
Mr. Watkins is Chairman of the
Board of Akoura Biometrics,
Founding Partner of Rofren Manufacturing
Company, and is a Founder and
Board Member of Connecticut
Bank & Trust. |

Billa
Bhandari (Founder,
Chief Architect) has fifteen
years experience building business
oriented, secure, scaleable
and mission-critical trading
systems in the banking industry,
including Chase, Credit Lyonnais,
Putnam Investment and State
Street Bank. Before Akoura,
Billa founded Parallax Corporation
to provide technology-consulting
services to clients including
GTE, Sun and HP. Billa’s
background in Finance and Technology
exploited the need for user
oriented yet highly secure information
solutions. Billa has strong
recognition in the International
Biometrics community and serves
on the Technology Board of ID
World, and Advisory Board of
My Data Vault. Billa has appeared
on many industry panels focused
on deployment of Biometrics
in the Enterprise and brings
vision and business development
skills to Akoura |

Antoine
LeBoyer (Outside Director)
Antoine has more than 20 years
of experience in IT organizations
in various international positions.
Antoine started his professional
career in IBM where he stayed
over 12 years. At IBM France,
Antoine held various positions
in sales and marketing. At IBM
Europe, he was running the distribution
strategy for all of IBM businesses
except PCs. Antoine was instrumental
in initiatives to leverage the
use of European's IT distributors
to achieve various growth targets.
He left IBM to join Candle Corporation
where he started and ran the
European indirect business.
Antoine was then General Manager
for Hyperchannel France, a B2B
marketplace for the European
IT distribution funded by General
Electric Capital and Goldman
Sachs. Subsequently, he worked
as Senior Vice-President for
Upaid Systems Limited, a provider
of software for real-time billing
and payment mobile services.
Currently he is a Senior Vice-President
for Baracoda, the leading producer
of Bluetooth industrial devices
which he has helped achieve
record growth.
Antoine holds a diploma of engineer
from Ecole Superieure d'Electricité
in France as well as an M.B.A.
from the Harvard Business School.
Antoine has been involved in
various advisory roles for small
IT companies with leading solutions
in emerging markets and is a
frequent public speaker on this
subject. He currently serves
on the Board of Directors of
Akoura Biometrics, an emerging
company in Information Security.

Reginald
K. Brack is the former
Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer of Time Inc. having
served as Chairman until June,
1997. With revenues of almost
$7.0 billion, Time Inc. is the
largest magazine publisher in
the world and one of the largest
book publishers. From 1962 until
appointed CEO of magazines in
1985, Mr. Brack held a wide
variety of executive positions
including President of Time-Life
and the international division.
In 2001 he was inducted into
the Advertising Hall of Fame
and was selected as one of the
nine most outstanding corporate
directors in 2002 by Director’s
Alert.
He is a trustee of the Center
for International Understanding
(CSIS) and EarthJustice. He
is a director of the Business
Council for International Understanding
and The Interpublic Group of
Companies, Inc. (IPG) and Quebecor
World Inc. (IQW). Mr. Brack
is an advisory director of Abercrombie
& Kent Destination Clubs
and Conduit It.
Raised in Dallas, Texas, Mr.
Brack received a B.S. degree
from Washington and Lee University
and a Doctor of Letters degree
in 2002. Mr. Brack and his wife,
Barbara, have three grown children,
Elizabeth Flock, Reginald and
Peter, and reside in Greenwich,
Connecticut, and Northeast Harbor,
Maine. |
